We found a version of this chocolate and cranberry cookie in Cape Cod, Massachusetts, and thought we would honor its unique taste by naming it the Cape Code (Mudpie) Cookie Mix. We took this recipe combination of a chocolate cookie base, mixed with dried cranberries, oatmeal, and chocolate chips, to make an easy-to-bake mix for our customers to enjoy anywhere in the world. A surprisingly flavorful combination that could have only come from Cape Cod! Makes approx. 24 cookies or biscotti. The only ingredients you will need to add are egg and butter.

Porta Mangiare Biscotti Mix comes in 10.9 ounce container. Convenient mix for making authentic biscotti cookies at home. It contains 2 eggs. 1 tbsp of pure vanilla extract, 1 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter. The traditional recipe from clabria uses only two eggs and vanilla. These cookies are dense and great for dunking in your coffee or tea. Foe a lighter cookie with a more delicate crunch, you can add the vegetables oil and softened, unsalted butter to the eggs. This will also make the dough slightly more sticky to work with, so be sure to flour your hand. Any type of nuts or dried fruit can be added to the dough before mixing. Try slivered almonds, hazelnuts, pine nuts, pistachios or walnuts. You can add candied fruit or cranberries. Also chocolate bits make great biscotti treat.
